Working with the Upper Valley Trails Alliance, Hermit Woods Trailbuilders, LLC was first hired in 2014 to construct a 1500′ universally accessible trail through some of the forested landscape around the nature center. Aspects of the project included several long retaining walls and hundreds of feet of cribstone. In the Summer of 2019, Hermit Woods again partnered with the UVTA to add 700 more feet of universally accessible trail, this time using a Geopave grid system to maximize permeability and avoid runoff into the nearby waterway.
