One of the most popular climbing spots in Vermont was also one of the most challenging to get to. Even the easier pitches required a steep scramble up a narrow defile between cliffs to access anchors for top-roping. Enter Hermit Woods. We installed nearly 70 steps up this narrow break in the walls enabling durable, sustainable access for beginner climbers (as well as improved access to some of the more classic climbs for more experienced climbers as well!)
