In the Fall of 2019, Hermit Woods was contracted to build a brand new, universally accessible trail alongside the North Branch of the Winooski River. The trail follows an old roadbed and includes side trails and staircases to access swimming holes and vistas. We installed a total of 2200’ of ADA accessible trail, three stone staircases (54 steps total), 65’ of dry-laid retaining wall, one new parking lot at the northern terminus of the trail, and improved an existing parking lot at the trails southern terminus.
